Etching

We can stop now on the etching representing Les Trois Chateaux d'Eguisheim. These three tower of old ruined keep are located on a mountain of Vosges which have a wonderful panorama on the Alsatian plain and especially on Eguisheim. Les Trois Chateaux are the starting point of many hike.

Remember that an etching is a form of print which consist to put a plate of metal in acid after drew the pattern wanted. It's possible to study the technique of etching and the precision of Hansi thanks to the sketch marks still visible. But also thanks to the differences of shade that tell us about the depth of the print. Indeed, more a sketch mark is deep, more the result will be dark.
